Janna Bruene

Janna Bruene has enjoyed teaching piano to children and adults for many, many years, focusing on creating beautiful melody, strong rhythm and meaningful harmony in all kinds of music. Classical music is her first love, but she listens carefully for what appeals to her students and how they learn, often using improvisation to deepen their skills. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music, and has done work in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, choral conducting, and vocal coaching. Janna grew up on a Midwestern farm and loves the out-of-doors and wild animals. Curling up with a good book is another joy!

Lessons with Janna are offered on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Anran was born into a family of pianists and teachers. Following her parents’ footsteps, she started to  play the piano at a young age. As a teen, Anran developed an interest in teaching, and began shadowing her parents as they taught students in their piano studio.

After completing her Bachelors and Masters degrees at the Julliard School, Anran is currently living in JP and completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University.  Apart from performing, she enjoys teaching, composing, and collaborating with different artistic disciplines.

Anran teaches at CMCJP on Mondays, offering both traditional and Suzuki methods.
