Pocket Full of Tales theatre company will be running weeklong summer workshops for kids ages 4-6 years. Favorite children's stories are the leaping-off point for these fun-filled workshops involving acting, singing, dancing, art and teamwork.
Workshops run Monday through Friday, from 1-3pm, with a fantastic show for friends and family on the last day. New families (includes registration fee): $165; returning families: $150. Register in advance for all three workshops for $420 (does not include new-family registration fee)
Workshop I: June 21 - 25 (Monday through Friday), 1-3pm
Crickwing: Crickwing never set out to be a bully. All he wants is to create his art in peace. But it's not easy being different--a cockroach with a cricked wing and a flair for sculpture is a ready target for the bigger creatures in the forest. Crickwing has to do something, but what? He's an artist, not a fighter.
Workshop II: June 28 - July 2 (Monday through Friday), 1-3pm
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves: The famous tale of a princess who escapes her jealous step-mother and lives in the woods with seven little dwarves. The step-mother, a witch, tries again and again to get rid of Snow White, but a handsome Prince breaks her evil spell once and for all.
Workshop III: July 5-9 (Monday through Friday), 1-3pm CANCELED
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: If food dropped like rain from the sky, wouldn't it be marvelous! Or would it? It could, after all, be messy. And, you'd have no choice. What if you didn't like what fell? Or what if too much came? Have you ever thought of what it might be like to be squashed flat by a pancake?
