This class for children ages 4-6,  taught by teacher Christy Mitchell, will serve as an introduction the violin.  Class utilizes the Suzuki beginner materials, using the Twinkle variations to teach position fundamentals.  Class also involves movement and vocalization, to teach content and to support children's continued music development.  These classes are attended along with a parent or caregiver.  

We strongly encourage renting a violin for the class, but class can be taken with a box violin and bow, available for purchase at your first class ($12). Click here for more information about violin rentals at Johnson String in Newton.

8-week fall '10 term:  

Saturdays 2:45pm (classes are 35 minutes)

September 11 - November 13 (no classes 9/25 for JP Open Studios, or 10/9 - Columbus Day weekend). Prorated late registration available through 3rd class week.

Tuition:  $145 (includes $25 materials fee for Suzuki book/CD) - add $15 registration fee for families new to the center.
